At Browning Masonic Community, our employees are super stars! We recently sat down with Allie, Director of Health Services so she could share her story and the success she’s had at Browning Masonic Community. Meet Allie, a Browning Masonic Community Super Star!

How long have you worked at Browning Masonic Community (BMC)?
I have worked at BMC for 9 months. I began as a 3rd shift, part time floor nurse. I then moved to a full time, 3rd shift floor nurse and now to my current position as the Director of Health Services. Prior to coming to BMC, I worked at Ohioans Home Health Care for three years. I received my training at the Professional Skills Institute in Maumee.

What makes Browning Masonic Community different than other senior living communities?
This is an easy question. BMC is a close knit community. This is not just a place to come to work. BMC is a place to build friendships and strengthen our bonds with the other employees, but more importantly with the community members. At Browning Masonic Community, we promote an active lifestyle.

What do your daily responsibilities include?
I have a wide variety of responsibilities from taking inventory to making sure our community members get the quality care that they need and deserve. I meet with doctors to make sure our community members receive the best care possible. I get the privilege of talking with families to provide them with peace of mind.

I’m excited to begin taking an active role in the hiring process.

What are some of your favorite benefits Browning Masonic Community offers?
My favorite benefits are personal. There is a family atmosphere here at Browning Masonic Community and across all of The Ohio Masonic Home campuses. Family is very important to me. When the CEO, Scott Buchanan visits BMC and asks about my daughter that is VERY special to me. I will guarantee that you won’t find that level of caring at most jobs.

I love the opportunity to build relationships with our community members and their families. When you learn about their spouses or grandchildren through their stories, it’s exciting to get to meet them in person. I want to know our community members as a person, their likes and dislikes. I want to know what will make their lives special while living at Western Reserve Masonic Community. I want every community member to feel loved.
