At Western Reserve Masonic Community, our employees are super stars! We recently sat down with Zachary, LPN so he could share his story and the success he’s had at Western Reserve Masonic Community. Meet Zachary, a Western Reserve Masonic Community Super Star!

How long have you worked at Western Reserve Masonic Community?

I have worked at WRMC for 4 years. I began here as a high school student at Medina County Career Technology Center training to become an STNA.. I began as an STNA and now I work here as an LPN.  I transitioned to my LPN new position in mid-July.  I am working on my degree to become an RN and I’m currently in my last semester.

What makes Western Reserve Masonic Community different than other senior living communities?

I haven’t worked in any other community, but I can tell you what I like about working at WRMC.  The environment makes WRMC special.  Our employees work as a team.  We understand each other and that makes our team successful.  You won’t find that kind of teamwork everywhere else you work.

What do your daily responsibilities include?

I have a large number of responsibilities every day. I work in Pathways memory care so I work to ensure the safety of everyone.  I administer medications, monitor patient activity make sure they receive proper nutrition. I also complete reassessments to continue to provide the best for all our patients.

A duty that is very special to me is being a patient advocate.  Everyone deserves to have someone in their corner, someone who always wants the best for them.  I am one of those people at WRMC.

What are some of your favorite benefits Western Reserve Masonic Community offers?

There are a couple of benefits that I really appreciate.  One of those is our insurance plan.  We have great coverage at WRMC.  It’s comforting to know that you have coverage for yourself and your families.

One of the best benefits is one that money can’t buy.  It’s the feeling that I get every day, working on a team, with great, caring team members.

What would you tell a prospective employee about Western Reserve Masonic Community?

I would tell a prospective employee that they are starting a new job in a welcoming environment. Teamwork is a great way to learn your job. Teamwork makes every day more enjoyable.
