The Ohio Masonic Communities Scholarship Program is here to help you in your academic journey. The annual scholarship is an endowment established by The Ohio Masonic Communities Foundation and is administered by a scholarship committee. If you are interested in supporting the scholarship program, donations can be made through The Ohio Masonic Communities Foundation.
Eligible students who are interested in applying for the 2026-2027 academic year scholarship must submit their application and supporting documents by 5:00 PM on April 3, 2026. Late applications will not be considered. Preference will be given to applicants with financial need resulting from the death or disability of a parent or guardian.

Thank you for your interest in the 2026-2027 scholarship program. We received over 85 applications from across the state from qualified high school seniors and current college students, with $35,000 awarded to twenty recipients.
On July 31, 2026, letters were mailed to the selected applicants, along with a check made out to their school. Congratulations to our winners, and please check back here in January for the application for the 2027-2028 school year.
Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
- Have a Masonic membership, or affiliation by establishing that the applicant or the applicant’s father, step-father, grandfather, or step-grandfather is in good standing or was a Mason in good standing at the time of death of a body recognized by the Grand Lodge of F.&A.M. of Ohio, including but not limited to Blue Lodges and Prince Hall Lodges in Ohio.
- Be pursuing an associate’s, bachelor’s, or other undergraduate degree program.
- Have made satisfactory academic progress in the preceding academic year (if applicable) as indicated by completion of required credit hours and a grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Be at least 16 but not more than 25 years of age at the time of application.
- Be accepted to or currently enrolled in a college or university on a full-time basis.
- Be a legal Resident of the State of Ohio.

Scholarship Application Components
- Completed application form, which can be downloaded here.
- A complete copy of FAFSA for the 2026–2027 school year. Please provide the entire report.
- Copy of letter of acceptance or current proof of enrollment from the college or university.
- Official transcript showing the most recent cumulative grade point average.
- A brief essay answering: What values or beliefs do you rely on most in your daily life, and how do you see these principles guiding you as you grow older?
- A brief resume of school and community-related activities, employment, and volunteer work.

Applications may not be submitted via fax or email. All applications for the 2026–2027 academic year must be submitted via mail or the online form below and must be received by 5:00 PM on April 3, 2026.
