As a Wakeman Loft resident, you get to enjoy the benefits of private living space and a maintenance-free way of life. You also get added conveniences, like closer amenities and housekeeping. We’ll cook and clean so you can get back to painting, woodworking, or whatever it is you love to do.

FAQs about Independent Living
Can I bring my pets?
Absolutely! We know furry friends are part of the family, and we love welcoming them into the community. If you have specific questions about our pet policy, we’re happy to answer them.
Are there entrance fees?
You may have seen that some communities charge large entrance fees up front. We want to keep things as simple, straightforward, and affordable as possible for you, so we never require entrance fees.
Do I have to sign a long-term lease or contract?
We know you’ll love living here, but we understand life happens and sometimes things change. We want you to have the freedom and flexibility to do what’s best for you and your family, so we just require a 30-day notice if you need to move.
What if I move into independent living now and need more help later?
As your needs change, we want to support you so you can keep living your best life. Our independent living residents get priority access to our assisted living and memory care neighborhoods when they need them. If you move to independent living today, we’re here with assisted living and memory care if your needs change in the future.
Do I have to be Masonic?
No, Browning Masonic Community is open to the public regardless of being Masonic or not. During the application process, we’ll ask about any Masonic affiliations, but we don’t use that information to decide if you’re eligible to live here.
