Our memory care is a type of assisted living, offering specialized support for your loved one. The neighborhood features private apartments with bathrooms, so your loved one can maintain their privacy while they live in a secure neighborhood where they can receive 24/7 care. It’s research-based and relationship-focused, aiming to meet each resident where they’re at – in their reality. Music is a powerful tool, especially for those with memory or cognitive challenges. Both 1:1 and group sessions with a licensed music therapist offer memory care residents a creative outlet while encouraging connection and improving mood. -

A peaceful environment helps residents thrive in memory care. We’ve carefully chosen everything from flooring, paint, and lighting that make every space inviting and calming, to a family-style dining room table that offers familiarity and promotes connection for residents and their loved ones.

Medicaid Waiver
We’re excited to have Medicaid Waiver certification for both assisted living and memory care. This is different from traditional Medicaid insurance. It’s a separate program run by the Ohio Department of Medicaid to help older adults afford the senior living care they need.
If you or your loved one meets the income and asset requirements, it can make living at our community more affordable for your unique financial situation. We’re happy to answer your questions about Medicaid Waiver and walk you step-by-step through the process.
Frequently Asked Questions about Memory Support
What’s included in the cost?
Our monthly fee covers the cost of your loved one’s apartment, all utilities, including phone and cable TV, housekeeping, laundry, meals, and care provided by a nurse or nursing assistant. The other services we offer, such as for hearing aids, glasses, dental care, and foot care, are available to residents but are not included in the monthly fee. Those services can frequently be covered by health insurance. The beauty salon is also not included in the monthly fee, but we can connect you with our stylist so you can learn more about the services they provide, their costs, and scheduling appointments for your loved one.

What care is included?
Memory care is all about providing support with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) in a secure and comforting environment. ADLs include bathing, using the bathroom, getting dressed, eating, and transferring. IADLs include managing medication, preparing meals, paying bills, and cleaning.
Are snacks included?
We love to bake in the Pathways Memory Support Neighborhood, and residents bake snacks for the whole neighborhood every day. If your loved one has a favorite snack that they enjoy eating, or even a favorite drink, we recommend you supply those.
What are your payment options?
Most of our residents are private pay. If you have questions about Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, or long-term care insurance, talk to your sales counselor. They can explain our pricing more in-depth and connect you with people and resources to answer your questions.
Do you accept Medicaid Waiver?
Browning Masonic Community accepts Medicaid Waiver in memory care. If you or your loved one meets eligibility requirements, the Medicaid Waiver can make assisted living more affordable. Give us a call if you want to learn more about Medicaid Waiver requirements or the approval process.
Do I have to be Masonic?
No, Browning Masonic Community is open to the public regardless of being Masonic or not. During the application process, we’ll ask about any Masonic affiliations, but we don’t use that information to decide if you’re eligible to live here.
Do you offer respite care?
We have respite care in memory care to support caregivers when they need it. Respite care is subject to the availability of apartments in our Pathways Memory Support Neighborhood.
