A Day in the Life at Western Reserve Masonic Community: Hawaii Edition

A Day in the Life at Western Reserve Masonic Community - senior women laughing and wearing Hawaiian leisSome people have been fortunate enough to travel to Hawaii and some people dream of going, but may not be quite ready to go.  We’re excited to show you a day in the life at Western Reserve Masonic Community and how be brought Hawaii to us. The Assisted Living Ladies Luau was the perfect way to try Hawaiian food during a luncheon at Western Reserve Masonic Community. Twenty-five ladies enjoyed Hawaii without ever needing to leave home.

The dining room looked festive with the beautiful decorations and each lady was wearing a Hawaiian lei. A lei is any series of objects strung together with the intent of being worn. Leis are constructed of flowers, leaves, sea shells, seeds, nuts, feathers. A lei is a common symbol of love, friendship, celebration, honor or greeting.

It was a day to celebrate and fellowship with the women of WRMC. Chef Jud prepared Hawaiian meat balls, glazed (ONO) carrots, Hawaiian sweet rolls and orange pineapple fluff salad. They enjoyed the Hawaiian music that was shared during the luncheon. Who knows what country we will enjoy at the next luncheon?
