A Taste of Tango
As high-energy tandas, milongas, and valses of golden-era tangos, bounced around the community center, our residents danced along to the tantalizing rhythms.
We were delighted to welcome internationally recognized tango musicians, Winnie Cheung (piano), Janice Lee (violin), and Hugo Satorre (bandoneon) and be included in the Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) 2022/23 World Tour of Music concert series.
Having a Real Hoot of a Time
As Athena the barn owl perched on her handler with the dignity of Spanish royalty, our community members looked on in awe and excitement. It isn’t too often you get up and close and personal with two owls and a hawk! Everyone enjoyed learning all about these incredible birds and the amazing work that Medina Raptor Center does to rescue and rehabilitate them. Also joining the fun were Ember the eastern screech owl and Valerie the red-tailed hawk.
