COVID Updates at The Ohio Masonic Communities

Please read the following COVID Updates at The Ohio Masonic Communities! Keep an eye out for upcoming changes to our community.

Safety and well-being for our community members, family members, and our employees is our number one priority through this COVID-19 pandemic, commonly known as Coronavirus. In an effort to decrease the spread of this terrible disease, and in compliance with state and federal governments, we are restricting all visitation to our campuses to end of life situations only.

All end of life situation visitors will go through a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) prescribed assessment related to COVID-19 when they arrive on campus. Should the end of life visitor have a temperature of 100.4° F or greater, and/or depending on the response to the questions, they will be asked to leave immediately.

We are doing everything we can to ensure our community members, their families, and friends stay connected during this COVID-19 pandemic. We are using technology like Skype and FaceTime as a form of communication through life enrichment. In addition, The Ohio Masonic Home is purchasing several iPads and tablets to distribute to our community members across the state, so they can interact with family members via virtual communication platforms, access telehealth programs, and receive campus updates regarding Coronavirus.

Also, in compliance with Governor Mike DeWine, the State of Ohio, and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), we will no longer have communal dining on any of our campuses or group activities. Our Independent Living community members will be able to take meals to go and have meals delivered to their room. Our Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing community members will have meals delivered directly to their rooms. We are taking the proper precautions to make sure that all community members have the necessary supplies they need like groceries, prescription medication, etc.

Our communities are all about “Where Lifestyle Sparks New Beginnings,” and even during this pandemic, we want to make sure we are fulfilling our mission. We will continue to come up with creative ways to ensure our community members are not only safe and healthy, but are receiving the social, physical, and healthy lifestyle they deserve.

As we continue to receive updates, we will update our community members, family members, and our employees. For specific Coronavirus questions, please call 1-833-4-ASK-ODH or visit coronavirus.ohio.gov.
