COVID-19 Updates at The Ohio Masonic Communities
Please read the following COVID-19 updates at The Ohio Masonic Communities! Keep an eye out for upcoming changes to our community.
Good morning team. As CEO of The Ohio Masonic Communities, I have an important message to pass along. Before I do, I want to take a moment to extend a heartfelt thank you to you and your families for the sacrifices each and every one of you make to care for our beloved clients, community members, Brethren, and their families across the state each and every day. Because of you and all of your actions, we are ahead of the curve as we deal with this pandemic.
Updates
Yesterday afternoon, Governor Mike DeWine spoke and reiterated the importance of our taking the actions we are to protect those most vulnerable to the Coronavirus (also known as COVID-19). Dr. Amy Acton also signed a “Director’s Stay at Home Order” which will take effect this evening at 11:59 p.m., also known as almost midnight. WE wanted to take a moment to discuss this order and the impact on our operations. The order really does not significantly change what we have been doing over the last seven days, and clearly states which businesses are essential. In this order it clearly states “Essential Business and Operations” means Healthcare and Public Health Operations. Simply stated our operations are considered essential to the well-being of those in our care.
Campus Updates
We have crafted letters for each of you which state that you are essential personnel for mission-critical work. This can be shown at any time if requested by authorities. Additionally, please be on the lookout in the next few days, for more information on how we will recognize your hard work and effort during this difficult time.
I know much of what we are experiencing is a great deal of change in a short period of time. It feels surreal. I know working together, we will get through this together and be better for it.
Again, thank you for all you do for The Ohio Masonic Communities.
Scott Buchanan, Chief Executive Officer
