Campus Updates at Western Reserve Masonic Community
Please read the following campus updates at Western Reserve Masonic Community! Keep an eye out for upcoming changes to our community.
Today, 2 Assisted Living team members informed us that they began experiencing symptoms yesterday, followed up with their physicians, and tested positive for COVID‑19. As a result, Traditional Assisted Living and Pathways Memory Care will be placed under quarantine.
This means all residents in Traditional Assisted Living must stay in their apartments until further notice. We have closed the fire doors at the end of each hallway and placed appropriate signage. Meanwhile, Memory Care staff will work together to keep residents socially distanced as best as possible.
Additionally, in response to the 2 new positive staff members, we tested all residents in the care areas today using rapid response antigen testing. In Skilled Nursing and Traditional AL, all results came back negative. One resident tested positive; however, they remain asymptomatic at this time. We contacted the resident’s family before this call went out. The resident will self‑isolate in their apartment, and we are awaiting PCR results to confirm the rapid test.
Campus Updates
All indoor and window visits for Traditional Assisted, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing are cancelled until further notice. Life Enrichment will be contacting families to set up Facetime or Zoom calls for residents in those areas.
Our residents in Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Memory Care will continue to be tested weekly; along with all staff until there are no new positive cases for 14 days.
At this time there are no changes or further restrictions being put in place for Independent Living or Villa residents.
