Campus Updates at Western Reserve Masonic Community

Please read the following campus updates at Western Reserve Masonic Community! Keep an eye out for upcoming changes to our community.

Today we were informed by 2 Assisted Living Team members that they started symptoms yesterday and followed up with their physician and have tested positive for COVID-19. As a result Traditional Assisted Living and Pathways Memory Care will be placed under quarantine.

This means that all residents in Traditional Assisted Living are required to stay in their apartments until further notice. We have closed the Fire Doors at the end of each hallway and have placed appropriate signage. In Memory Care staff will be working together to keep residents socially distanced as best as possible.

In response to the 2 new positive staff members, today we tested all residents in the care areas, using Rapid Response Antigen Testing. In Skilled Nursing and Traditional AL all results came back negative. In Memory Care one resident tested positive but they remain asymptomatic at this time. This resident’s family was contacted prior to this call going out. This resident will be self-isolating in their apartment. We are awaiting PCR results to confirm the rapid test.

All indoor and window visits for Traditional Assisted, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing are cancelled until further notice. Life Enrichment will be contacting families to set up Facetime or Zoom calls for residents in those areas.

Our residents in Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Memory Care will continue to be tested weekly; along with all staff until there are no new positive cases for 14 days.

At this time there are no changes or further restrictions being put in place for Independent Living or Villa residents.
