A clinical team member reported today that they developed symptoms of COVID‑19 on Wednesday, February 10th, 2021. This staff member worked in both Traditional AL and Skilled Nursing in the days immediately before their symptom onset. Consequently, due to potential exposure, AL and Skilled Nursing will enter a 14‑day quarantine. However, this potential exposure does not affect Pathways.
Additionally, we will convert all in‑person visits for Traditional AL to virtual visits. Our Life Enrichment team will reach out to those who are impacted.
CDC Updates
This week, the CDC updated its quarantine guidelines for individuals who received the COVID‑19 vaccine. The guideline states that vaccinated persons—who do not reside in a healthcare facility and who have received both doses—are not required to quarantine after a potential exposure. Nevertheless, this update does not apply to residents in healthcare facilities.
Furthermore, starting next week, all skilled nursing and assisted living community members will be tested once per week for 14 days.
We understand this situation is frustrating for everyone involved. Even so, we will continue to follow the protocols of the CDC and the Ohio Department of Health to prevent the spread of COVID‑19.
