Western Reserve Masonic Community Goes to Medina’s County Fair

When was the last time you went to the county fair? Western Reserve Masonic Community goes to Medina’s County Fair! Residents from independent living and skilled nursing attended the 176th Medina County Fair.
WRMC wanted to make sure this was a special outing for everyone. Community members that chose to attend could stay as long as they felt comfortable. The WRMC bus made frequent loops back and forth to the fairgrounds to pick up those that only wanted to stay an hour or those that wanted to stay the full five hours.

When talking to the community members, there was a variety of comments about their day at the fair. Nancy shared, “In 2017, at age 100, Mom won 1st place and Best of Show with a Honey Angel Food Cake. The photography department had a historical photo collage this year. Here I am with a photo of Mom and her winning cake. I attempted her Honey Angel Food Cake and received 2nd place. Making it was a humbling experience.”
Judy P. stated, “This was the first fair I have ever attended. I went to the fair for the food, but loved seeing the quilting exhibits. I had a great time!”
Whether this was your first time or you were a returning fair visitor, one thing is for sure, everyone had a fantastic day. Community members are already discussing what they plan to do and eat at the 177th Medina County Fair!
