Independent living at Western Reserve Masonic Community in Medina, Ohio is ideal for those who can still live on their own, but want to take advantage of a maintenance-free or worry-free lifestyle. This is especially true for our apartments, where residents have easy access to campus amenities. We offer a variety of unique floorplans, ranging from one bedroom to three bedrooms, so you can choose the one that works best for you. In fact, some of our newest apartments are even larger than our villas so you don’t have to sacrifice space when you choose an apartment.

Our monthly prices are all inclusive
You might see some communities offer their services a la carte, and you’re billed for the number of times you or your loved one needs assistance with each activity of daily living (ADL) in addition to a base rent. We want each resident to get the care and support they need, without worrying about hidden costs or fees at the end of the month. That’s why our monthly prices are all inclusive, so you know exactly what to expect. We look at how many activities each resident needs assistance with and how frequently they need that assistance to decide what tier of care they need. Each tier has its own price, and residents can move between the tiers as their needs change. If you have questions about the tier pricing, we’re here to help.

Giving You Peace of Mind
At Western Reserve Masonic Community, we’re fortunate to partner with providers who offer exceptional care. It’s important to us that residents receive the support they need without leaving our campus. These optional services are typically covered through Medicare and/or supplemental insurance, and residents may have out-of-pocket co-pays or costs
Can I bring my pets?
Absolutely! We know furry friends are part of the family, and we love welcoming them into the community. Western Reserve Masonic Community even has a pet committee! If you have specific questions about our pet policy, we’re happy to answer them.
Are there entrance fees?
You may have seen that some communities charge large entrance fees up front. We want to keep things as simple, straightforward, and affordable as possible for you, so we never require entrance fees.
Do I have to be Mason-affiliated?
No, our assisted living community is open to the public regardless of being Masonic or not. During the application process we’ll ask about any Masonic affiliations, but we don’t use that information to decide if you’re eligible to live here.
Do I have to sign a long-term lease or contract?
We know you’ll love living here, but we understand life happens and sometimes things change. We want you to have the freedom and flexibility to do what’s best for you and your family, so we just require 30-day notice if you need to move.
What if I move into independent living now and need more help later?
This is why it’s beneficial to choose a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) like Western Reserve Masonic Community. As your needs change, we’ll be there to support you every step of the way so you can keep living your best life. Our independent living residents get priority access to our assisted living and memory support neighborhoods, as well as our healthcare center which offers short-term rehab and skilled nursing care.
